A story in the making
About One Coin Tale
One Coin Tale is a children's book project for ages 6–10 and the grown-ups who read with them. We are developing an illustrated story that begins with a simple invitation: what would you do with ten coins?
We want to make room for curiosity, laughter and conversation about spending, saving and investing. Each choice can make sense. Investing in a business can mean owning a small part of it: an owner may benefit when it succeeds, and can lose money when things go badly. Money does not grow by magic, and waiting does not guarantee success.
Who makes the decisions?
A human author leads the project and makes its editorial decisions. The public book byline and publication details will be added when they are settled. The book is still being developed.
How we develop the work
AI helps explore drafts, language adaptations and some website imagery. The short explainers use synthetic narration. The decorative website images are separate from the book's eventual illustrations.
The Mandarin read-aloud samples are experimental drafts, and the four-language explainers introduce the idea to parents and teachers. They are not finished book pages or evidence that children have understood the concepts.
Our planned review process is to work through language drafts with native-language tutors, then test read-alouds with parents and children. Native review and child testing have not yet been recorded. Feedback will help us revise the words, the pictures and the questions they invite.
